GP2026 | FCGP Annual Conference 15th – 17th May, 2026 | Grand Pacific Hotel, Suva, Fiji

Innovate. Integrate. Inspire: The GP in a Changing World.

Building on the success of our 2025 conference, the Fiji College of General Practitioners is proud to announce GP2026 — our Annual Conference and the foremost professional gathering for general practitioners in Fiji.

As the primary care landscape continues to evolve, GPs are being called upon to lead, adapt, and innovate at every level of health delivery. GP2026 is your opportunity to engage with that challenge directly — alongside colleagues who share your commitment to excellence in general practice.

Five Themes. One Agenda: Advancing General Practice in Fiji.

This year’s programme has been structured around five areas of critical importance to our profession and our communities:

Leadership and Resilience — Equipping GPs to lead within health systems under pressure, while sustaining the professional wellbeing that underpins effective practice.

Integrated Public–Private Care — Examining practical frameworks for collaboration across Fiji’s public and private health sectors to reduce fragmentation and improve patient outcomes.

Preventive and Community Medicine — Reinforcing the GP’s indispensable role in prevention, early intervention, and community health across Fiji’s diverse population.

Climate Change and Health — Addressing the direct and compounding health consequences of climate change for Pacific communities, with practical tools for frontline response.

Mentorship and Workforce Development — Investing in the next generation of Fijian GPs through structured mentorship, professional development, and strategic workforce planning.

Dr.Ram Raju’s Response To FBC News  (Click to view more)

“We’ll never shy away from carrying out our professional duties and obligations no matter what the crisis maybe. We have done this before in many other situations and our members have always stood out in conducting outreach voluntary clinics many  times. Most recently several teams reached out to victims of Cyclone Yasa in Vanua Levu early this year.”
